Santiago, Chile to Ushuaia, Argentina
Dec. 6th.
Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego.
Busy days in Ushuaia, studying spanish in the afternoon and doing homework in the morning. Will be QRV
on 14008 (CW) and 14070 (PSK) from 09z to 11Z and from 20z to 22z in the evening. Not every day, but as often as possible. Condx are bad down here, but have already had many good QSO's.
Dec. 6th.
Plans for January: Will fly out to Easter Island on the 11th for a 10 days stay. Will be QRV as CE0Y/LA6IKA, mornings and afternoons. FQ ca. 14008(CW) 14070 (PSK).
Nov. 12th.
Arrived Santiago yesterday. All luggage arrived safely except for my homemade vertical antenna. It was packed in a fishingrod tube. If I'm lucky it arrives before I leave Santiago. I still have my Rybakov-antenna, the same I used on my other trip to SA.
I'll stay in Santiago until Tuesday, when I take the bus to Pto. Varas.
Nov. 8th.
I arrive Santiago on Sunday 11th, and start travelling south to Puerto Varas during the next week.
From Pto. Varas I have planned going to Bariloche, Argentina for two days before returning to Pto. Varas. On the 19th. I board the Navimag Ferry in Puerto Montt for a four days voyage to Puerto Natales. During the first two weeks there will be little radio activity. When arriving in Ushuaia at the end of the month I will be on the air with c/s LU/LA6IKA from the Radio Club of Ushuaia, LU8XW or from my hotel. The operation is 'holiday style'.
The stay in Ushuaia will be two or three weeks.
